Pot de Creme'


12 ounce package of semi sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbls. granulated sugar
dash of salt
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup milk
Heat milk to boiling. Pour into blender and add all ingredients. Blend at high speed for 1 minute.
Pour into small dishes - ramekins etc. Chill for 3 hours. Top with whipped cream before serving. Can garnish with sliced fruit, nuts, nutmeg or cinnamon.

Not knowing French, I was pronouncing this as it sounds to me, " Pot de Creme " ( pawt deh creem). Wrong!!! It should be "Po de Krehm" You can make that little back of the throat sound when saying "Krehm" but I prefer not to because it just sounds gross.
